Job description

 

To deliver consistent and aligned reporting solutions and with a focus on analysis to both internal and external clients.

The Financial Reporting & Accounting team delivers financial reporting and accounting support to both the General Account (GA) and the Insurance Linked Clients of our client. The job holder provides monthly, quarterly and annual reports containing an analysis of the investments of these clients. Furthermore, he or she will also be responsible for any regulatory reports, ad hoc reports and requests for information. The job combines financial reporting with sophisticated accounting requirements. Furthermore it has to be executed in a complex and content driven environment.

 

 

Key tasks and responsibilities

You drive the timely preparation of the monthly and quarterly reporting calendar;

You have (shared) responsibility for daily accounting;

You contribute to the regulatory, annually, quarterly and monthly reporting process;

You liaise with other divisions, external fund managers and an external auditor to facilitate the timely preparation of (quarterly) reporting instructions.

You provide support and advice to other employees of the Financial Reporting & Accounting department;

You contribute to quality management and risk management.

Part of your time will be dedicated to projects that are in scope for Reporting.

 

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by his/her manager from time to time so long as such duties are within the scope and ability of the job holder.

 

Qualifications and experience

 

  • Master Degree in finance / accounting;
  • Preferably designation as a Register Controller (RC) or Register Accountant (RA) (or studying for this);
  • A minimum of three years relevant work experience;
  • Strong analytical skills, accurate and disciplined
  • Strong accounting skills required;
  • Knowledge of financial reporting requirements (mainly Dutch GAAP and IFRS);
  • Preferably experience within the Asset Management industry;
  • The ability to initiate and complete work assignments effectively and in a timely manner;
  • Energetic and positive personality;
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft is advantageous;
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English language both written and verbally;
  • Team player
